The coating is only as good as the preparation beneath it.
Every vehicle is inspected before work begins. We prepare the surface methodically so System X® can bond to clean, stable paint and produce a consistent finish.
Inspect
We assess paint condition, defects and previous protection.
Deep Clean
Exterior wash plus bug, tar and road-film removal.
Decontaminate
Iron removal and clay treatment create a clean surface.
Correct
Polishing or paint correction is recommended when needed.

System X® is designed to make ownership easier, but no coating is maintenance-free. Correct washing and scheduled inspections help preserve gloss, hydrophobic performance and warranty validity.
First 2-3 Days
The coating is still curing. Keep the surface as dry and contamination-free as practical, and remove bird droppings, sap or water spots gently and promptly.
- Do not wash or abrade the paint during initial curing
- Avoid parking beneath shedding trees
- Follow the installer’s exact release and wash instructions
Ongoing Care
Use safe wash methods to prevent unnecessary marring and mineral deposits while maintaining the coating’s slick surface.
- Choose hand washing or a touchless car wash
- Use pH-neutral soap and clean microfiber wash media
- Dry the vehicle fully rather than allowing it to air-dry
- Avoid automatic brush washes, harsh cleaners and abrasive polishes
- Complete required annual inspections within the specified window

Is ceramic coating scratch-proof?
No. Ceramic coating can add hardness and resistance to minor swirls and environmental wear, but it cannot stop rock chips, deep scratches or impact damage. Paint protection film is the better option for physical impact protection.
How long do Crystal+™ and Phantom™ last?
Crystal+™ is offered with a 2-year limited warranty. Phantom™ is the flagship package with a lifetime limited warranty. Actual appearance and performance depend on paint condition, driving environment, washing and maintenance. All warranties are subject to current System X terms.
Does my vehicle need paint correction first?
Not every vehicle needs the same correction. Because a coating locks in the appearance beneath it, we inspect the paint first. Newer paint may need only light refinement; swirled, oxidized or scratched paint may benefit from one- or multi-stage correction quoted separately.
Can I use an automatic car wash after coating?
Use a touchless wash only. Automatic brush washes can mar the finish and may void warranty coverage. Hand washing with pH-neutral soap and clean microfiber media is preferred.
How soon can the vehicle get wet or be washed?
System X states that full curing takes roughly 2-3 days depending on temperature and humidity. Avoid washing or abrading the paint during that time, and follow Avic Auto Care’s release instructions. A longer no-wash period may be recommended.
Is ceramic coating useful in Toronto winters?
Yes. The slick, chemically resistant surface helps reduce how strongly road film and winter contamination adhere, making safe maintenance easier. It does not eliminate the need for regular washing, especially when salt and grime accumulate.
